I would like to take just a few minutes to thank everyone that visits this blog, I hope that you enjoy what you see and learn. I've decided to make this my personal blog with a little more background on my life, but will still be in the context of my adventures in the wild, I am however in the works of creating my own domain name hosted blog geared towards hunting and fishing in the Rocky Mountains. That will incorporate just hunting and fishing. I'm hoping in the next few weeks that I have it up and running, so look for it in the future at followmeoutdoors.net

Big Country in the Selway Wilderness of Idaho

So for those of you that find this through Facebook feel fortunate that you have access to this blog, cause I will be providing more detail on my locations of the hunting and fishing areas that I will be at. Like unit's or specific coordinates to some of the places I fish. I'm sure that some of my close friends might find this obtrusive but I feel that the amount of people that this blog will come in contact with will be significantly low that it won't in anyway jeopardize the areas that we already access. And last of all I've been reported several times within the 8 hours this blog has been up and running, mostly for my pictures of deceased animals, I'm sorry if this offends anybody but its a way of life out west, so you'll just have to put on your big boy pants and deal with it.

Follow Me Outdoors!!

I've decided to start a blog solely based on my outdoor experiences. I spend a good portion of my time backpacking, hunting, fishing and scouting for my big game hunts. I love the outdoors, its a great time for me to reflect on my life and the choices that I've made that's shaped the outcomes to this present day. It's neither a passion or obsession, it's simply a way of life and without it I wouldn't have an identity.

 I really enjoy getting people involved in the outdoors, I've introduced a few people to hunting and I've really enjoyed being able to see them learn the ropes as they have progressed, one of my friends I introduced to hunting when we was in high school and he has progressed into a pretty good hunter and has had great success with the limited time he has had to pursue this passion.

My wife of 8 years had no form of experience with hunting and the 1st year we was married she harvested a doe Antelope in Wyoming, over the course of these 8 years she has harvested many animals and has become quite sufficient with a rifle, hopefully I can introduce her into bow hunting and shotgunning, we've been on several backpacking trips, scouting trips and fishing trips also,we have two beautiful daughters that have taken her time with me away, but with any luck my daughters will have a burning desire to be with there father in the great outdoors, I've taken my niece on several hunts and she has also been really successful, I hope that as I progress through life that I can continue to introduce new people to such a vital resource.

 As I post updates on this blog about my adventures, I won't be hiding any information from anyone, you will know the what, how, when, where! I've spent considerable amounts of my time in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado and Nevada either for myself, my family or with one of my close friends, in pursuit of many type's of fish and game, I don't consider myself a trophy or a meat hunter, I just hunt for the enjoyment whether it be a cow Elk in Western Wyoming on the Tunp Range or a general buck Deer in Central Idaho. When it comes to fishing I thoroughly enjoy fly fishing, but in given situations, I have no problem picking up a spinning rod and some powerbait for a day of trout fishing on the lake or winging a baitcast setup for those silver bullets(Steelhead) of the Salmon river. So I would just like to say come Follow Me Outdoors and hopefully you might find something new to try and a little insight on how to do it.
